Regina's International Line Dancing

Where the fun starts

About

Get to know Regina

I am originally from Taipei, Taiwan and I am currently a full-time international line dancing instructor at the Mt. Pleasant Community Center in Vancouver, Hillcrest Center in Vancouver, Flying Dance Studio in Richmond, and Nikkei Centre in Burnaby.  I used to teach at the Langara YMCA from 2013 to 2020.  Additionally, I am also the director of International line dancing events in B.C., Canada. I have many years of line dance teaching experience. What motivates me in teaching is be able to share beautiful dances and bring the dance of joy to everyone. I am very comfortable organizing line dance events and teaching at the same time. I wish to see more people come and join the line dance family and have fun even after retirement.

"It doesn’t matter if you are a professional dancer or if you just like to move on the dance floor. It doesn’t matter if you like to tango or breakdance. Dancing, of any kind, combines physical exercise with the positive power of music and social engagement. Together, these yield major mental health and brain benefits.

In fact, it has such beneficial effects on the brain that dancing is increasingly used as therapy for developmental disorders like Down’s syndrome, mood disorders such as depression, and neurological disorders as in the case of schizophrenia, Parkinson’s and dementia". - The Best Brain Possible
